The latest crop of Digital Health Award winners have been announced – with categories ranging from Rising Star in Digital Nursing to Digital CEO of the Year.
Our prizewinners were revealed during aa gala dinner on campus at the University of York on July 14 as part of Digital Health’s Summer Schools event. A judging panel selected the winners from a shortlist and the awards have been designed to celebrate the digital achievements of the leaders making the biggest contributions to UK healthcare IT.
The winners of the Digital Health Awards 2021 are:
- CCIO of the Year – Dr. Peter ThomasCCIO, Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- CIO of the Year – Diarmaid Creanchief digital and technology officer, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust
- CNIO of the Year – Prof Louise HicksCNIO, Barts Health NHS Trust
- Digital CEO of the Year – Richard JenkinsCEO, The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust
- Future Digital Leader of the Year – Sarah Harturology specialty doctor, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust
- Rising Star in Digital Nursing – Rob Ratcliffeclinical lead for district nursing, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
- Outstanding Contribution to Digital Health Networks – Sarah HanbridgeCCIO Nursing and Allied Health Professional, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust
Now in its ninth year, Digital Health Summer Schools is a two-day residential event dedicated to local NHS IT leaders, focused on CCIOs, CIOs and CNIOs, plus future digital leaders.
The 2022 edition is currently underway at York University and will explore the evolving challenges of being an effective digital leader in the NHS and the different dimensions of leadership roles, focusing on the networks, future leaders, nursing, diversity and equality and emerging leadership in the ICS space.
