Homegrown, the former tech startup Homage, announced today (September 6) that it has raised $ 30 million (US $ 40 million) in a Series C round led by Sheares Healthcare Group, a healthcare company wholly owned by global investment firm Temasek.
New investors who joined the round include DG Daiwa Ventures and Sagana Capital, as well as existing investors East Ventures (Growth), HealthXCapital, SeedPlus, Trihill Capital and Alternate Ventures.
The final round of the C Series brings its total funding to more than US $ 45 million (US $ 60 million) and will be used to further accelerate regional expansion and scale its platform.
The funding will also be used to further develop its technology platform and deepen its integration with the infrastructure of payers and caregivers for the elderly and disabled across the region.
According to the company, the over-subscription round makes it one of the largest funding rounds raised by a letter-serving platform in Southeast Asia and the Oceania region.
As part of this round of funding, Khoo Ee Ping, head of corporate development at Sheares Healthcare, will join the Homage Board of Directors.

Strong growth in 2021
Homage said it experienced significant growth in 2021, and that regional companies (including Malaysia and Australia) grew more than 600% year-on-year. The group also tripled more than its revenue last year.
Moving forward, its presence will continue to grow and expand to more cities.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also mentioned the tribute in the 2017 National Day Rally speech, where he praised the startup’s use of computer technology to match a group of caregivers with seniors who needed help.
