The transition to a low-carbon economy is underway, but important actions are still needed to achieve aggressive policy goals and consumer demand. We are probably in the early stages of this transition, but one thing is undeniable: without green metals it will not be possible.

Green metals are those metals that are used in applications, products, and processes that enable the energy transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources and technologies. Its applications range from electric vehicles i battery storage to wind turbines and solar panels. The World Bank summarized well a sample of green metals and their use in various applications in a recent research report.
