Bernardo NY imitation Sherling jacket
$ 169
The 70s are asking to be added to your coat collection!
Synthetic plush will keep you warm this winter and we love the sturdy look of this oversized coat with a trendy appeal.
The oversized look gives you plenty of space to lay layers underneath, and the large pockets on the front will be useful for keeping items close and also for decorating.
How to choose the best coat for you:
- Consider your climate by heat level: Are you usually buried five feet from snow every winter and need some warmth or are your winters milder, so will a heavy jacket suit you?
Choosing a coat that fits the snow (hoods are a good idea for inclement weather) or that allows you to put layers to vary your heat as needed, will be useful to find the best coat for you.
- Note the humidity: The typical climate and activity level will also determine how waterproof you want a coat to be.
A lot of snow (or skiing and snowboarding) would mean a higher level of waterproofing, while occasional rain or light snow will not need much protection from the water.
- Choose the level of care for washing: Do you agree to wear a special coat to dry cleaners from time to time? You won’t do a dry cleaning, but will you wash something you like by hand? Or do you want everything to go in the washing machine with your usual clothes?
Be sure to consider the care instructions for a coat before you buy it, so that you don’t compromise on a level of care that you won’t really keep up with.
- Size according to the typical layer: If you like to wear bulky sweaters or many layers in the winter, consider increasing the size to fit the extra fabric.
Since the oversized look is in vogue right now, you can totally go out with a little extra space for the layers you want and still not feel too stuffed.
As you can see, there are so many beautiful options for all budgets to keep you warm this winter. Are you more of a jester or a lover of faux fur coats? What is your favorite? xo. Laura
