There are still a few days left to apply for the Shuri Network’s Nursing and Midwifery Fellowship.

The Fellowship has been developed specifically to support ethnic minority nurses and midwives interested in health technology and data.

Participants will be supported to overcome career-related challenges, build positive relationships and gain insight into different digital roles and developments.

Natasha Phillips, the CNIO at NHS England and NHS Improvement, said: “Having wide representation in the workforce is essential to give patients the best care they need, and it’s important we have a range of minds when talking about making technological changes to our system. .

“Ethnic minorities are underrepresented in senior roles in the NHS, and it’s only through developing leadership skills, and creating opportunities we can ensure fair representation is included in the decisions we make, and that is where networks such as Shuri are leading the way.

“This is why I encourage all ethnic minority women who are aspiring to develop their digital leadership careers to apply for the Shuri Network Digital Nurse Fellowship.”
