Seropositivity of SARS-CoV-2 not associated with low vitamin D

In propensity score analyzes, the results were similar. An association of SARS-CoV-2 seropositivity with obesity (odds ratio, 1.26) was associated, with no university studies (odds ratio, 1.40), and Asia, Black, Hispanic, and American Indian or Alaska Native and Hawaiian Native or other Pacific Islander races / ethnicities (probability ratios, 1.46, 2.74, 2.65, 2.01, respectively); inverse associations were seen , smoking and residing in the northeastern and western United States (odds ratios, 0.82, 0.60, 0.75, and 0.54, respectively).

“These results do not support the hypothesis that vitamin D plays a role in susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection,” the authors write.
