Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust have used NHS England and NHS Improvement funding to implement the new digital change programming system.
The Malinko system, which costs around £ 200,000, uses the list of staff and knowledge of skill sets to ensure that trusted patients see the right healthcare doctor, at the right time and place.
Benefits include staff who have more time to devote to care, as well as reduced cancellations and missed visits.
Helen Turner, head of community nursing and the trust therapy division, said: “These types of systems make it much easier to assign visits to patients and allow more time with our patients. This will be really positive for to nurses and other health professionals, as it provides accurate information about assigned work, reduces time spent on nurses assigning visits, supports agile work, and increases visibility of capacity and demand. ”
The productivity of trust staff is maximized with Malinko, as the system can reassign work in the event of emergencies, such as increased demand for services or sick staff. You can also assign unplanned jobs as needed throughout the day.
In addition, the administration of the schedule is reduced and, since the system works in real time, workers can make urgent visits on the fly without having to return to base. It also provides trust with an effective solution to respond to changes in service demand and operational pressures by deploying staff as needed.
Turner continued: “The division will have visibility of capacity and demand on a daily basis in real time, allowing for a safe reassignment of visits and unplanned activity. Linking the planning system to the electronic list will measure usage, productivity and efficiency “.
Confidence is not alone in moving to a digital solution for the staff list. Last year James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust launched the director of activities for Allocate to better manage the distribution of clinical staff.
