A GP consultation in Milton Keynes has partnered with Livi to offer video consultations for patients that include weekend and night appointments.
The Whitehouse Surgery, run by the OneMedical group, will offer video appointments with an NHS doctor between 7am and 10pm during the week, as well as 8am to 4pm on weekends and holidays. Appointments can be made five days in advance.
Harriet Bradley, Livi’s British medical director, said: “We want all patients to have access to high quality care when and where they need it. After our collaboration with The Whitehouse Practice, busy parents, travelers and people working from home can now talk to a doctor, often in a matter of minutes, at a time that serves them well. ”
NHS patients can access video consultations with GPs and other healthcare professionals via their smartphone, tablet or computer; there is also a paid service for anyone in the UK.
Kate Parker, director of NHS Services, OneMedical Group, added: “We are a community-focused practice with services based on the needs of our growing patient base. Livi is a key addition that guarantees that we can provide the best possible care to our patients seven days a week ”.
The partnership follows the success of The Light Surgery in Leeds, which incorporated Livi’s digital tools. There, GPs reported that the tools helped alleviate their workload, allowing them to deliver 7,500 appointments over the course of a year.
Other NHS associations for Livi include South and East Leeds GP Group, Yorkshire OneMedicalGroup and City Healthcare Partnership in Hull. In April last year, Livi also announced it chosen by Boots as a preferred partner.
