Alisson made the 80-meter trip to the West Brom penalty area to score a goal that kept his team’s chances of reaching the Champions League alive.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker scored a winner in the 95th minute as the Reds beat West Brom 2-1 on Sunday to hold a place in next season’s Champions League in their hands.
Jurgen Klopp’s men would have needed the favors of Leicester and Chelsea in their last two games of the campaign if they had not managed to win the already relegated Baggies.
But the Brazilian was sent to the corner at the depth of stoppage time and headed home the delivery of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool were one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea and three behind Leicester.
With Leicester and Chelsea still to face in the replay of the FA Cup final, won 1-0 by the Foxes on Saturday, victories against Burnley and Crystal Palace will make Liverpool among the top four.
Alisson’s father drowned in February in a swimming accident in his native Brazil.
“It simply came to our notice then. For the last few months, everything has happened to me, to my family, but football is my life, ”Alisson told Sky Sports.
“I’ve been playing with my father since I can remember. I hope he was here to see it, but I’m sure he saw it with God by his side and is celebrating. “

A first win away from Manchester United in seven years on Thursday kept the fate of Liverpool’s first four games in their hands.
And after injuries that ravaged the Premier League title defense, Klopp can feel his luck finally turned into an exciting finale at The Hawthorns.
West Brom thought they had gone 2-1 with 20 minutes to go when Kyle Bartley took a corner.
The Baggies captaincy was handed to Matt Philipps.
“It’s all kind of our season in a nutshell,” Klopp said.
“We do a lot of good things, they punish us for the first mistake and then we have to work like crazy. I liked it because no one has passed the top level, we have continued to play football and we have had the best chances in the last five minutes. “
Klopp has had to deal with none of his senior midfielders for months after a series of injuries and the inexperienced pair of Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams were easily worried at first.
Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed a simple long ball forward in 15 minutes, with Phillips playing the Welsh striker and left his first Premier League goal since 2017.
Sadio Mane reacted angrily to the fall between weeks as he pulled away from Klopp full-time as the German celebrated victory over United.
The Senegalese returned in the absence of Diogo Jota due to injury, but his poor form showed few signs of improvement as he threw a glorious chance from the position of Thiago Alcantara.
Luckily for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has remained deadly in front of goal and fired his 31st of the season to balance 33 minutes from the box.
Roberto Firmino then had a third chance at scoring, but a last ditch challenge made sure that he didnt.
Even when Mane found the net early in the second period, the offside flag denied him.
West Brom had more reason to complain when Bartley’s goal was ruled out controversially.
Chances kept coming and going from the visitors as Alexander-Arnold exploded before Sam Johnstone denied Thiago and Gini Wijnaldum sank.
But the most unlikely source came to the winner, as West Brom was caught taking Alisson’s late-run nap in the box to find Alexander-Arnold’s corner.
“In the end, we needed Ali to sort it out,” Klopp added.
