A few weeks ago I posted a gochujang recipe; a Korean red chili paste. This week I share with you a recipe for gochujang mayo, which uses this pasta.

What is Gochujang Mayo and why would you want to do it?

Gochujang mayo is a super easy to make and full of flavor condiment. Regular mayonnaise is a classic that has been around for hundreds of years. It has been used in approximately one billion different ways over the years. One of my favorite uses is to season it with other flavors.

I did harissa, sriracha, i chipotle mayo for a variety of different dishes. This gochujang mayo is delicious and could be my new favorite. Like the gochujang pasta it’s made from, it’s a little sweet and has a small cup of heat.

If I already have gochujang done in the fridge, I can make gochujang mayo in less than 5 minutes. I just beat regular mayonnaise with a couple of tablespoons of gochujang and a little lime juice.

Ways to use Gochujang Mayo

Gochujang mayo is not an invention of its own. I’ve seen it as a burger filling, spicy sauce, sushi ingredient and dressing. Here are some of my recommendations:

Gochujang Mayo recipe

Beat normal mayonnaise, gochujang and lime juice for a slightly sweet and spicy mayo.


  • In a small bowl, beat all ingredients.

  • Serve as a sauce for dressing or dipping and enjoy


If your family is wary of heat, start with less gochujang and try it before adding more.
