A new clinical group consultation feature has been launched on the Induction Attend Anywhere platform.
The launch across the UK will allow healthcare professionals to facilitate remote consultations safely, as well as giving patients a degree of continuity.
As a result of Covid-19, essential services were shut down and technology was used to allow consultations despite the global pandemic. But doctors had to rely on non-clinical business conference facilities to conduct them, which has limitations on both suitability and privacy.
The new feature within the Induction Attend Anywhere platform will help address the backlog of patients who need access to group therapy, for example patients who require addiction and mention healthcare therapy, and will support healthcare based on the community.
Designed specifically for healthcare, the expansion of the Induction Attend Anywhere service has been designed to closely reflect the standard clinical and patient workflow for optimal integration. In order to safeguard physician and patient confidentiality, it includes a single inbound link for each clinical group consultation waiting area, which prevents the production of multipatient links.
Confidentiality is a priority, with call features that make it possible for only service providers to see the names of callers. Service providers also have full control over admitting, denying, or removing individual users as needed.
James Balmain, CEO of Induction Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to share the expansion of our Induction Attend Anywhere platform, which enables the NHS to integrate remote clinical group consultations into a secure, private environment.
“This tailor-made feature will support the NHS to expand crucial services such as counseling some of the most difficult patients to reach. It will help address the current backwardness while transforming long-term healthcare.”
Induction acquired the Attend Anywhere video consulting solution in July this year, adding functionality to its virtual care platform. This provided another important tool that supports the NHS Long-Term Plan and the vision of community-based healthcare. Attend Anywhere is already used by 300,000 doctors across the UK.
