Half of all American adults will have received full COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesday, the White House said, marking another huge milestone in the fight against the pandemic.

“Today, the United States will reach 50 percent of fully vaccinated American adults,” said a White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

More than half a million Americans have died from coronavirus, but the country is now a world leader in vaccine deployment.

The United States has reached almost 50% of its population of 332 million with at least one dose, but yes it slows down in the face of hesitation.

President Joe Biden has set the goal of vaccinating 70% of adults with at least one dose on July 4th. The current figure is almost 62%.
