Travel firm Gojek announced today (May 27) that it will offer all its users in Singapore two transport vouchers worth US $ 15 each that they can use to book round-trip travel from Covid Vaccination Centers -19.
With each voucher, pilots can book a free or subsidized trip to pick it up or drop it off at the designated center, polyclinic or clinic.
All vouchers are geographically restricted and only apply to pick them up or leave them at any of these vaccination sites designated by the Ministry of Health and apply to use them any day from 8am to 8pm.
According to Gojek, the pair of travel vouchers is automatically added to each user’s account today and will be available for use until August 31, 2021. New users who download the Gojek app and sign up for platform during this period will receive an additional discount voucher this is exclusive to new users.
With this offer of travel vouchers, Gojek aims to ensure that transportation is not a barrier to accessing the vaccine and would like travelers to have a comfortable and safe transportation option to and from these centers.
“Vaccination is an important layer of protection in our fight against Covid-19. Just as we actively urge our driving partners to take the vaccine when it is their turn, we want to allow our riders to easily reach their vaccination appointments by removing any transportation barriers to accessing the vaccine, ”said Lien Choong Luen, General Manager of Gojek Singapore.
“The horse transport service provides a safe and convenient means of point-to-point transport, as vehicles are regularly disinfected and offers greater privacy and remotely safe compared to the more common modes of transport. We hope that with this campaign, more people are inclined to get vaccinated and we can do our part to support Singapore’s fight against the pandemic. “
Gojek’s fight against Covid-19
In light of the pandemic, Gojek has stepped up its safety precautions and urged driving partners to clean and disinfect the vehicle after each trip, as well as observe good hygiene practices such as washing hands regularly and using contactless methods to pay for travel.
The company also continues to distribute masks and hand sanitizers to partner drivers to provide a safe driving environment.
Last year, Gojek extended travel vouchers to nine public hospitals and earlier this month partnered with Tan Tock Seng Hospital to distribute travel vouchers to its hospital employees.
This is part of GoHeroes, an ongoing initiative by the company to support healthcare workers, everyday heroes who keep Singapore well and safe at the forefront.
As part of GoHeroes, thousands of Gojek’s driving partners also committed virtually to their commitment to fulfilling trips from hospitals, ensuring that healthcare workers can continue to travel from their workplace safely and comfortably.
Going forward, Gojek said he will continue to explore new initiatives to create an even safer driving environment and keep Singapore moving.
