Nurses and nurses have long felt overwhelmed and undervalued, and this feeling reached a turning point in the last year when 55% of health workers reported exhaustion. The pandemic has shed light on the inadequate physical and mental health resources available to nurses. This lack of support and increased stress have led to a historic volume of nurses and nurses considering leaving the profession altogether. The current environment for health care workers threatens to exacerbate the current critical shortage of nurses and assistants.

Founded in 2014, connectRN is a technology platform that connects nurses and assistants with opportunities to improve their working lives. The platform offers professional development resources, flexible shift offers and the opportunity to participate in a solidarity community of peer-to-peer professionals. By using technology to bring nurses together, we empower health care workers to take control of their careers and their future. connectRN was designed by a nurse to empower doctors at all levels of experience.

“Nursing is the backbone of the healthcare system, and nurses and caregivers deserve a sensitive community that allows them access to support resources, offers greater flexibility to look for new job opportunities, and allows for greater control over their careers. We created the connectRN platform to be this solution, a digital community to connect nurses and assistants with job opportunities whenever and wherever they want, ”said Maddie Thoms, COO of connectRN. “So far, the connectRN platform has been widely adopted by doctors and health centers.”
