At least 11 killed in bus bombing in Afghanistan | Asia News

The Interior Ministry says dozens of people, including women and children, have been injured in the attack in southern Zabul province.

At least 11 people have been killed and dozens injured after a roadside bomb struck a bus in southern Afghanistan’s Zabul province, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The blast occurred on Sunday night, Zabul provincial governor spokesman Gul Islam Sial said, adding 25 people were injured, including women and children in critical condition.

Violence in the country has risen sharply in recent weeks after the United States announced it would withdraw troops on 9/11.

The Taliban announced on Sunday afternoon that they would declare a three-day ceasefire for the Eid holiday later this week.
